I grew up sewing (my mom is a professional crafter) and I have been quilting for almost 20 years. I started off as a “topper;” the engineer and puzzle fiend in me loves the process of putting the pieces together. I didn’t even realize I wasn’t a “quilter” until I had over 40 tops completed and only a few finished quilts. I now have an appreciation for the total process and enjoy creating finished items.
My first quilt was a Jinny Beyer pattern. It has a mariner’s compass in the center and a lot of mirror imaging in the sashing and borders. I was at Jinny’s studio one day and she asked me if I was hand piecing it. Ever since, I have hand pieced most of my quilt tops and in general I prefer that method over sewing by machine.
With the support of friends and family, I launched Willowlark Quilt Studio, LLC in 2014.
I am blessed to be able to express my creativity through quilting.
Willowlark Quilt Studio, LLC offers handmade quilts and provides longarm quilting services to create the perfect quilted solution for any occasion.
The Studio quilts are pieced either by hand or by machine. Several Janome sewing and embroidery machines are used in the studio. The quilting is hand-guided on an Innova longarm machine.
If you have a quilt top you have pieced and would like my help creating a finished item, feel free to contact me for an estimate on your project. Visit my Longarm Services page to learn more about quilting services.
Quilts are not just for bedding anymore. Willowlark Quilt Studio offers quilts that could become the focal point of your living room, or ones that would be perfect as throws over a loved one's favorite chair. Many modern designs are created using vividly colored batik and hand-dyed fabrics. There are even options for a baby or toddler to cherish for years to come.
