I found this pattern and fabric while visiting my great aunt in Albany, NY. The four-patch has colorful batiks contrasted with solid black cotton fabric. The backing is a fun sunflower batik print. This quilt is machine pieced and machine quilted. The binding was sewn on to the back and then brought forward and stitched down with a decorative stitch using variegated thread. I altered the pattern slightly from the original. The pattern, entitled Luminaries, is a 4 patch by Larisa K. Key.
If you intend to hang it, a sleeve will be added by request.
